On Monday we had to prepare lunch for the coming pupils. At first everyone was a bit shy, but a few moments later it turned into a nice atmosphere. Tuesday we worked on our presentations. Later we had a city-ralley in Düsseldorf. On Wednesday we went to Cologne and had a nice trip to the old part of the city and  the cathedral. It was a good day. On Thursday we worked again and afterwards the final conference started. The last day, there was an individual programme for each country with the transfer to the airport at the end. All in all we had a great time and made some new friendships. And we would do it again, of course!

The video shows you the first meeting with all Comenius participants and the dinner we had together. It also shows you our trip to Cologne. (made by Pascal Keitemeier & Philipp Klebe)

At the Meetings we talked about the topics: stereotypes, school systems, social security, living costs and social networks.

Presentations:Stereotypes

We talked about typical stereotypes, for example the Germans always drink beer and eat a lot of sausages. We pointed out that not every stereotype tells the truth, but some are confirming themselves.

Schools systems:

It was really interesting to learn and see more about the different school systems in Europe, and how they work.

Social security:

In many countries the social security systems are different. We looked at the different ways in which the countries support people in need (e.g. the unemployed ) and help families.

Social networks:

There are many advantages and disadvantages when using social networks. For example sometimes you don't really have control over things the others see of your privacy. An advantge is that is it pretty easy to be in touch with your friends.

Living costs

One interesting thing is the gap between living costs  in the countries. We pointed out that in some countries the living costs are much higher than in other countries.

After the workshops on Tuesday we listened to a presentation about international business by Mr Kapler of Becker-International. After that we went to Düsseldorf where we had a short city rallye. We had in Düsseldorf a delicious dinner.

On Wednesday we went to Cologne (Köln in german) , had a guided tour through the Cathedral (Kölner Dom) and visited the old part of town. After some free-time we had something to eat in a traditional German restaurant.

The final presentations on Thursday where we presented our results were very interesting and successful. The different groups explained what they had worked out. After that we had our last dinner together at school.
